One Day to Change Your Life

Become the you
you know you can be

Join me at my live event

This is the day you change your life forever. The day you take the first step to becoming the person you truly want to be – and can be.

We’ll talk about how I did it. My guest speakers will tell you how they did it. And together, we’ll make a plan for you to do it.

Why settle for good when you can have great? Join me for a day you will never forget. Because it’s the day you start to become the you you know you can be.

It’s Time to Change Your Life

I will open your mind to possibilities and inspire you to achieve whatever you set your mind to.

I will show you why all the obstacles you think are in your way can be dealt with. I will show you how mental toughness can do that for you.

I will give you the insights you need to develop your own mental toughness and go as far as you desire.

It’s not a magical secret.

Everything you need is already within you. I can show you how I learnt to use it – my own mental toughness – and how it allowed me to do things I thought impossible.

Don’t settle for less than what you truly desire. You can find greater satisfaction and happiness in life by developing the strength and resources already within you – your mental toughness, waiting to be activated and focused.

Create the life you dream of having

My dreams seemed wild, but I’ve made many of them come true. I’m still working on others. I’m confident I’ll get there. I will become whatever I decide to be.

The question is, what will you become?

I would love to help you find out.

What will you get from Become –
one day to change your life

You’ll hear me, Penny Mallory, and my guests describe how we developed our mental toughness to reach our goals in life. And you’ll make your own plan, with our help and guidance. You’ll be with a group of people who are ready to change their lives – and you’ll inspire each other.

Practical advice from people with remarkable achievements

Q & A with me and my guests

I would love to help you find out.

Our Speakers

Penny Mallory

As a child Penny saw alcoholism and mental illness destroy her family. Fleeing home at 14, homeless and fending for herself on the London streets, her life couldn’t have been more dangerous or bleak, yet her inner strength and self-belief enabled her to take control of her future. She made the impossible possible and has since dedicated herself to helping others do the same.

Her life is a continuing series of doing what conventional thinking says she simply can’t. Motorsport and TV fans know her as the first and only woman to drive a World Rally Car for Ford Motor Company in the World Rally Championship. She’s run marathons (three in three days); climbed two of the world’s highest mountains; entered the boxing ring twice to fight and beat boxing champions; and next up, she’s rowing the Atlantic later this year.

It’s these experiences that have made her motivational sessions acclaimed international favourites for many of the world’s most powerful brands, including  Microsoft, Google Cloud, Santander, Coca-Cola, Grand Vision, Waitrose, Tesco, Telefonica, Klesch, Sony, Volkswagen, HPI, Jaguar, Proctor & Gamble, Airbus and many more.

Alex Lewis

Penny will be interviewing Alex from a rowing boat as he rows from Falmouth to Dover in a specially adapted boat.

Alex was a regular guy with a partner and a two-year-old son. He was running the Kings Arms in Lockerly and was also a stay-at-home dad. In early November 2013 he caught what he thought was man flu, and moaned continuously for ten days until he started to deteriorate.

On the 17th of November he woke in tremendous pain. His skin had started to turn purple and he was in a semi-conscious state.

He was rushed into hospital and within hours of his collapse, his vital organs were being supported mechanically, his blood forced around his body with noradrenalin. His chances of survival given by the consultants for the first three days was less than 3 %. He had Strep A toxic shock syndrome, leading to Septicaemia.

Over the course of the next seven months Alex had life-saving surgery resulting in the loss of his left arm above the elbow and both legs above the knee – and six months later he lost his right arm below the elbow. He also underwent facial reconstruction as the infection ravaged his face and mouth as well as his limbs.

Even four years down the line Alex is still a work in progress … and Alex now lives an extraordinary life in a different body.

Alex’s Story

Peter Woolf

Peter Woolf’s life of drinking, drug-taking and thieving began before most people leave school. Spending most of his adult life in prison made no difference to him: life itself offered him no hope. He describes himself as a former ‘career criminal’.

Peter was stuck in an endless cycle of drugs, violence, prison and depravity – until, one Tuesday afternoon in a glass room at Pentonville prison, he was forced to confront all that he had destroyed.

Today Peter is clean and has not reoffended since that life-changing meeting in 2002 when he came face to face with some of his victims.

Peter changed his self-destructive thought-patterns, and started to behave in a productive and healthy way. His incredible story of overcoming addiction and adversity shows how we can change everything in our lives with the right mindset.

Tania Varney

At 41 years old, Tania had spent her entire life overweight. There was never a time in her life her weight hadn’t been an issue. It was holding her back every minute, day and year of her life. She tried every way to lose weight (except surgery which was a no-go for her) but nothing worked.

When COVID struck in 2020 Tania became acutely aware that she would struggle to survive if she were to catch it. But her eating patterns didn’t change until, on the last day of ‘Eat out to Help out’, her brother-in-law said he was joining Slimming World.

Tania had always tried to go it alone – but now she had the lightning bolt realisation that like him, she would need to ask for help.

Tania asked for, and received, the support of her husband which was key to her success. On 5th September 2020 Tania joined Slimming World, and two years on has lost 11 stone.

Tania also talked to her sister about how she had blocked out childhood experiences that had intensely affected her and her weight.

Tania changed her mindset, her approach and her attitude. She is persistent and consistent with what and how she eats. Tania is self-deprecating and very private, and very modest about what she has achieved – but she is extraordinary and has a huge number of lessons to share with us!

Rebecca Beattie

In 2012 Rebecca opened her eyes to find herself in a hospital bed surrounded by her family and police. She had suffered a brutal attack at the hands of her ex, who she had tried to leave following years of domestic violence.

Rebecca was so badly injured that she required reconstructive surgery. She was diagnosed with PTSD and was subjected to a decade of ongoing abuse and harassment at the hands of her ex and his family.

Determined to take back control of her life and create financial freedom for herself and her son, she decided to set up her own business. With absolutely no business experience and no money Rebecca started looking for business courses and came across The Prince’s Trust.

With the help and support of the Trust she set up her business ‘Always B.U’. It’s an ethical clothing brand dedicated to raising awareness and educating people on domestic violence – with a percentage of every sale donated to the charity that supported Rebecca and her son.

She is now an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust, and in 2020 won a ‘Pride of Britain award’.

Rebecca’s story is testament to her belief that ‘anything is possible’.

What people say about Penny

St James’ Place Wealth Management

“Really enjoyed the talk this morning Penny, very inspiring and honest, not like the usual bish bash bosh motivational sermon.”

Sainsbury’s

“WOW, so inspirational. Thank you so much for sharing. It certainly has challenged me to be 100% committed to my goals. Loved listening to you today.”

Richard Owen-Hughes, Group Marketing Director

“We had the huge pleasure and privilege of working with Penny for the recent Driver Hire annual conference. As facilitator she was organised, professional and really took some time to understand the nature of our business, which makes such a difference. As a keynote speaker Penny was inspiring. She has a natural stage presence and combines real insight with a remarkable personal story. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Penny to anyone running a similar event.”
